SJ Students Captured 3rd Place!

Massachusetts Personal Finance Challenge
We’re excited to report that our inaugural Challenge team reached the Final Four - ultimately claiming an impressive 3rd‑place finish out of 150 teams at the 2025 Massachusetts Personal Finance Challenge, held in Boston on April 15, 2025.

On March 31, Saint John's students in our Accounting & Finance courses sat for the statewide 30‑question qualifying exam. Out of dozens of competing schools, the team of seniors Riley Holwell, Pranav Manjrekar, Jack Bottamini, and Drew Luoto posted one of the top eight scores to earn a ticket to the State Finals.

In Boston, they powered through the opening rounds to secure a coveted spot in the Final Four, facing competitors such as Milton Academy and St. Mark’s (last year’s top two finishers). When the dust settled, our Saint John team stood proudly on the podium, finishing 3rd overall—a remarkable accomplishment for our first year in the competition.

We couldn’t be prouder of what Riley, Pranav, Jack, and Drew achieved. Their poise, teamwork, and real‑world financial savvy placed them among the very best in Massachusetts and set an inspiring benchmark for future challengers.

Congratulations, gentlemen, on your outstanding success!
