Welcome to The John C. and Marie E. McCarthy Library

Welcome to the John C. and Marie E. McCarthy Library! The library is an inviting space for independent study, research, collaboration, and reading. Students use the library throughout the day, especially during their resource period. Librarians are available to assist with research needs and printing as well as selecting reading materials. Our library curriculum teaches students throughout their time at Saint John’s how to access and evaluate information, both in print and online. The goals of the library are to prepare students for college-level research as well as foster a love of reading and curiosity of knowledge.

Saint John’s High School has educated young men under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers since 1898. Through the Saint John’s strong college preparatory curriculum, over 900 students in grades seven through twelve pursue personal and intellectual growth in an environment that is committed to the development of the whole person and recognizes a moral dimension of life through service to God and to others.
