Fine Arts Philosophy

The Arts are essential to the human experience, transcending space and time. Studying Fine Arts encourages an appreciation of cultural traditions and builds connections across social and ethnic boundaries. The Saint John’s Mission to “foster the formation of the whole person,” includes creativity and aesthetics. As such, the Fine Arts Department seeks to provide students an opportunity to take their place in the rich history of art and culture through participation.
