This class is designed to teach students the basics of digital literacy. Emphasis is placed on tools for productivity such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentation applications, and the continued development of their keyboarding skills.

This course also provides students with a working knowledge of computer concepts and essential skills necessary for work and communication in today’s society. Students learn about safety, security, and ethical issues in computing and social networking. Through hands-on projects and written assignments, students gain an understanding of the operation of computers, computer networks, Internet fundamentals, programming, and computer support at Saint John’s.

Saint John’s High School has educated young men under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers since 1898. Through the Saint John’s strong college preparatory curriculum, over 900 students in grades seven through twelve pursue personal and intellectual growth in an environment that is committed to the development of the whole person and recognizes a moral dimension of life through service to God and to others.
