It is with great excitement that Saint John's High School announces the appointment of John Ginnity as its Head Varsity Basketball Coach for the 2024-2025 season.

Ginnity, a Fitchburg native, attended St. Bernard’s High School (Fitchburg) where he was inducted into their Athletics Hall of Fame. In his professional career, Ginnity has played international basketball in Ireland for the Northstar Basketball Club and served as the Head Coach for “Playing for Peace” before beginning his coaching career here in Central Massachusetts. Over the past two decades, he has coached and cultivated the success of student-athletes at Assumption University, Clark University, Framingham State University, Worcester Academy and Burncoat High School.

"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Saint John’s community, leading the next chapter of the school’s basketball program,” reflects John Ginnity. “Saint John’s has such a rich and storied history and it is truly an honor and privilege to now be a part of it.”
