Worcester Alumni Reception keeps the Pioneer spirit alive
At Saint John's, the holiday season begins with the Worcester Reception.
Gathered in a festive Worcester Country Club, over 170 alumni of all ages met up for this annual event. Alumni from the classes of 1944 through 2014 attended!
Established Central Mass alums mingled with young alumni professionals and college-age Pioneers alike during one of the most popular alumni events of the year. The 2016 Worcester reception was made possible by
Joseph Bafaro Jr. '88,
Michael Bafaro '91,
Brian Carroll '80,
Mel Chacharone '92,
Jack Howard '79,
Bob McCarthy '71, and
Mark Puccio '78.
The contingency of Worcester-area alumni is a strong and vibrant one. This large and varied group of Pioneers supports the Saint John's community in countless ways - from social and networking events like alumni receptions and school programs to supporting the Annual Fund, scholarships, and other capital projects. 34% of the Annual Fund, which last year brought in over $1.5 million, comes from gifts from alumni living and working in the Worcester area.
The Saint John’s
Alumni & Advancement Office puts on dozens of events of all kinds for alumni and friends of the school every year. Thousands of Pioneer alums around Massachusetts and all over the country get together and reconnect at regional receptions, reunions, and more. If you are interested in hosting an alumni gathering in your area and connecting with Pioneers in your city, contact Alumni Director
Warren Hayden '81.
