Hundreds of Pioneers teed off at this favorite alumni tradition.

On the second Monday of June, you can be sure to find a lively collection of Saint John's alumni gathered together at the annual Golf Classic. Since the early days of the SJ Alumni association, Pioneers have joined in some friendly competition and a celebration of the Saint John's brotherhood over a day of golf.
Wachusett Country Club hosted 237 alums of all ages for some windy rounds of golf this year. Special thanks go to Donnie Marrone ’68 and his family from Wachusett Country Club for their continuous support of the tournament.
As is tradition at every Golf Classic, an honorary alumnus is recognized for his Pioneer ties and contributions to the Saint John's community. This year, the class of 1966 bestowed an honorary degree upon their friend Michael Pagano.
In his final appearance as headmaster, Michael Welch was recognized for his steadfast commitment to the school over the course of his fifteen years serving in his post.
